Your inbox builds the database

This is the engine behind everything else in Trevally. Connect your email account through a secure OAuth sign-in (Trevally never sees your password, and the access is read-only), and the sync starts working through your mailbox in the background. For every email address it finds, Trevally creates and enriches a contact: the messages you exchanged, the attachments they sent, the links in their emails. Your contact base assembles itself from the history you already have.

Transparent, read-only access

Before the sync begins, Google shows you exactly what Trevally is asking for, and Trevally itself explains what each permission enables. The access is read-only: Trevally never sends anything on your behalf. You can review and revoke the permission at any time from your Google Account settings. Trevally's use of information obtained from Google APIs strictly adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Always on, always current

Once connected, the sync runs entirely in the background. You don't have to wait. Small progress indicators appear beside items in the sidebar while extraction is running, and Trevally sends a notification when your data is fully processed. From that point the sync stays live: new contacts, messages and attachments are added automatically as new email arrives.
